Buckle Jackets

As seen on The Dark Horse limited release, and on some of my own personal belts in my instagram stories, I am excited to offer these Buckle Jackets à la carte. You can choose any leather to match a belt you already own, pair it with one you're purchasing, or even create a unique color combination of your own design.

These work with any of my Japanese-made quick release buckles, and while they fit snugly, if you want to ensure your buckle jacket stays secure, I suggest applying a small amount of wax to the buckle. This will help grip the leather and prevent it from slipping. For wax, a beeswax stick works great if you have one, but even an ordinary candle can do the job just fine. Installation tip: dry fit it without any wax at first, it is a tight fit and it will be even more difficult to put it on if you apply even the tiniest bit of wax. Twist the buckle jacket back and forth as you put it onto the buckle.

I can use any leather that I currently have in stock. If you're after a leather that I don't currently have available, but once did- check with me, I may have enough to make you a Buckle Jacket with it. Simply add your leather request and your preferred thread color into the box above. The pictured examples are just a few options available, left to right: red Tärnsjö, green Tärnsjö, natural vegtan, brown Tärnsjö, dark horse black, and painted black teacore. I have a feeling that the painted black teacore is going to become a very popular option.

Why I like these; they bring a fun, customizable touch to your belts while adding another leather piece that will develop a unique patina over time. In theory, they should also prevent that metal discoloration that you often get on your belts where the metal from the buckle rests against the leather of the belt.

These are made to order, but they won't follow my queue estimate- if purchased stand-alone, you can expect me to make and ship your buckle jacket within a couple of weeks. If you're buying one alongside a belt, it will ship with your belt and I will install it for you.
