Numbered Limited Edition - The Dark Horse

I can't believe that this is the 20th numbered limited edition that I have created! I love coming up with interesting ideas for these, and this one does not disappoint. 

Called The Dark Horse because this black leather is a mystery- my supplier has it exclusively tanned for them, but they do not reveal their source. All I know is it is vegetable tanned cowhide weighing in at around 10oz. The reason I chose this leather for this particular release is because unlike the leathers I usually work with, this leather's dye is struck all the way through to the core- no natural edges here. The surface is quite matte and will surely develop a bit of a shine over a period of time with use as it develops a patina. 1.5" wide like all of my quick release belts.

I'm incorporating a new detail on this black beauty, an element that I am calling a "Buckle Jacket". A stitched piece of leather around the end of the buckle, made with the same leather as the rest of the belt for a sleek, stealthy look. I've been testing the Buckle Jacket out on belts of my own for a few weeks now, and I am a big fan! I feel that it adds a very unique look to the belt and opens up a lot of possibilities of mixing and matching leather colors down the road (Yes, they are removable/replaceable!).

I've paired this belt with my patented Japanese made nickel-plated brass double prong quick release buckle, and a matching pigeon stamped leather keeper. Single prong available by request, just add it in with your sizing note. The hardware has been secured with my signature double-row hand saddle-stitch in tonal black thread.

Regarding the Buckle Jacket- from my limited experience, these stay on really well, but they are removable, and as such, may come off unintentionally, simply be aware.

This belt release is limited to just 15 numbered pieces. As with previous limited releases, this belt is likely to sell out quickly and it will never be offered again.

As with all belts that I currently make, this belt is guaranteed for life.

This belt is Made to Order and will be delivered within the timeframe of the backlog estimate posted in my website banner. Currently 4-8 weeks.
