The Japan Edition Double Prong Quick Release - Navy Japanese Bridle

It was only a matter of time before I sought out a manufacturer in Japan to make my patented double prong quick release buckle! I cannot express how happy I am to be working with this hardware manufacturer, they are one of the best in Japan and between the quality of their work and the professionalism in dealing with them, I am simply elated!

The 1.5" double prong buckle shares the same style and dimensions as my buckles that are made in England, but there are several key differences.

You will find "Made in Japan" proudly stamped on the back of the buckle next to my patent number. 

The solid brass hardware is sand cast and brushed smooth, giving the brass a much softer appearance than the bright yellow mirror-finish from my English manufacturer.
The nickel plated hardware is going to be a bright silver color with a soft finish. 
Black plated brass is the newest addition, a shiny dark metal that is sure to attract a lot of wandering eyes. Solid brass will be secured with matching branded rivets, black nickel will be secured with stitching in a tonal color, and nickel will be scured with nickel chicago screws.

The prongs have been upgraded in beefiness, and the teardrop holes have been enlarged slightly to accommodate the larger prongs.

The belt loop has been custom cast with a small but tasteful logo of a pigeon, I feel that this subtle addition adds a lot to the uniqueness and presentation of my work.

The leather that I've chose for this momentous occasion is a waxy Japanese vegetable tanned bridle! Weighing in at 12-13oz this is one of the thicker leathers that I offer. This leather is tanned in Italy and then dyed and finished with waxes by Himeji craftsmen in Japan. It is hard for me to describe this leather as anything but sumptuously buttery. Despite its thickness, it is surprisingly soft! This particular leather is in a rich navy color. The wax content gives it a soft and streaky vibe, but the wax will wear off with use and the color will increase in vibrancy. Check out the other colors that I have in this leather; the natural is sure to please!

Note about leather sizes- these Japanese bends are quite short. The max belt size that will be accommodated is 38-40"

Belts made from my new Japanese made double prong quick release belts are guaranteed for life. If the belt should ever fail under normal use, I will fix or replace it at my expense.
