The tenth release in my numbered and limited edition belts is a special one! J&FJ Oak Bark Tanned leather makes a come back for the first time in at least a year and a half, this time in a wonderfully suntie dark olive green. The saturation of the green varies depending on the light, in the warmth of the afternoon sun the color will appear more green than it does in these pictures, but it is overall quite a muted green.
This leather carries quite a following, people love the THICK 13-14oz girth of it, as well as the somehow firm yet soft temper of the leather. It's something special for sure.
This belt also marks the arrival of my new Japanese Double Prong Quick Release buckle in Nickel Plated Brass! This is the first time my new hardware is available in this gorgeous nickel silver finish, and also the first time I have ever paired a J&FJ leather with a metal keeper! My old British made keepers were not large enough to accommodate the heft of this leather, but that is no problem for my Japanese made pigeon branded keepers.
The hardware is hand stitched using my signature double row stitching scheme, exclusive to my numbered limited editions. On this particular belt I used a combination of green and cream colored waxed ritza tiger thread. As with all of my belts, the edges are beveled and burnished smooth.
This belt release is limited to just 15 numbered pieces. As with previous limited releases, this belt is likely to sell out quickly and it will never be offered again.
This belt is on pre-order and will be delivered according to my current order queue, which can be found in my banner.
To order this belt, please measure one of your old belts using the diagram pictured above. The system that I use is the most accurate method of measurement, and involves measuring from the inside of the end of the buckle prong, to the hole that fits you best (this method accounts for any difference in length between your buckle and mine). You can add your measurement in the measurement section above, or you can shoot me a message thereafter.
